WELCOME TO MOTHERS FAVORITE CHILD *Spot Light* Welcome To the world and music of Mothers Favorite Child. The Official Home of Mothers Favorite Child lies within the life and soul of the music. Where the stars glisten in the sky every evening, and the sun shines everyday. All the while, the wind blows and the rain falls. As citizens of this planet, these things are expected to happen. It was once that the music scene was this reliable. New artists with beautiful new songs that touched the heart and soul would appear on a regular basis. Now, however, these occurrences are no more than a myth, evidenced only by the recordings that remain. There is no reason why music cannot return to the better days of these "Camelot years", but only a miracle sized dose of creativity and effervescence can remedy the current situation. Part of this miracle has manifested itself in Mothers Favorite Child. In a time when R&B music has been reduced to interchangeable vocal groups using repetitive beats and lyrics that teeter on the verge of redundancy, now more than ever is the need for real music. Mothers Favorite Child is led by a charismatic singer with a beautiful voice that speaks from the soul. In a time when the computer age is defining who we are and what we hear comes a need for real music . Live rhythm and blues combined with lyrics that offer a fresh perspective not only tugs the heart but moves the soul and lift the spirit. The sound recalls the roots of R&B. This is Mothers Favorite Child. There is no question that this music speaks for itself. First impressions from listeners have been more than favorable. The band has been likened to everything from the Jill Scott to Lauryn Hill to Maxwell to Sly and the Family Stone. This Band has beamed onto the music scene for much anticipated extended stay. Mothers Favorite Child is one of the most original and exciting bands to be seen in years, and the music world cannot sit still.Mothers Favorite Child "The Album" Coming Soon!!!.For More Info Email:VillageSoul@melodicsyndrome.com

Danni Gee from Suga Bush
SUGA BUSH

Using her words and music, they have created a unique fusion of sounds and influences, bringing to the table ol' school funk, screaming rock, a spoonful of hip-hop, a dash of jazz and a whole lot of soul. Danni Gee & SugaBush are currently at work on a CD of her original material and perform regularly at local New York venues such as CB's Gallery, The Baggot Inn, Baby Jupiter, The Elbow Room, the historic Wetlands Preserve, and the world famous SOB'S, among others. In November 2000, Danni received mention in Billboard magazine as featured new artist in their Internet division. After experiencing just one session with Danni Gee, you too will search for ways to describe this untapped talent. Just keep in mind that however you describe her, you will only be scratching at the surface. Danni's energy and tenacity has catapulted her from the youth choir of the African Methodist Episcopalian Church in West Philadelphia to holding her own center stage along side R&B veterans like Sister Sledge. That same boundless drive jettisoned her from her dance beginnings in Philadelphia to becoming a featured artist with the internationally renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, performing such tour de forces as the signature solo "Cry".In 1997, Danni listened to her heart and returned to music, devoting herself to singing and songwriting. Since leaving one performance stage, she has easily transitioned to another. She is in constant demand providing guest vocals for several acts including Jessica Care Moore and Detroit Read, Greg Tate's Medusa Oblongata, Rhythm Republik, Mother's Favorite Child and the legendary group Sister Sledge, with whom she tours in America and abroad as an "adopted" baby sister. With a clear vision, Danni sought out other artists to assist her in sharing her eclectic style with the world. Her exhaustive search has yielded a group of musicians who, in August of 1999, with Danni as their voice, became SugaBush.
