* ROLLIE JONES * On a Roll...Toutes Les Femme
Rollin With Rollie,The Hostess With the Mostess...

Rollie Nicole Jones' personality is as distinctive as her name. Though born and raised in Chi-Town, "shy" would never be a word used to describe her. Rollie (pronounced rah-lee) is a fun loving sophisticate with an infectious sense of humor. From a quirky family of Outlaws (more on them later), Rollie is resolved on bringing her fiery wit to an audience near you. Whether on video, radio or before a live audience, a ride with Rollie promises to be personable, tickle your funny bone, to inform, and uplift your spirits. Presently hosting "Toutes Les Femmes," a monthly all-female music showcase held in the West Village, Rollie was also recently chosen as a semi-finalist in the Seagram's Gin VeeJay Search garnering over 30,000 on-line votes. "I'd be happy to have my own show or be a music news reporter like Sway [from MTV]…what is under that head wrap?" asks Rollie with a broad smile. "And I'd love to continue hosting showcases for unsigned artists, but top notch, where music moguls and decision makers can come and know that the cream of the crop will be there." Getting the bug through her behind-the-scenes production experience, Rollie's first job out of college was at NBC where she did audience coordination for some of the network's biggest programs. Rollie worked at Rosie, Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live and Chris Rock (HBO) where she gave tours which allowed her to "talk all day" and personalize her tours for tourists from all over the world. Being from Chicago and growing up at the feet of Oprah since she was local, Rollie has some great inspiration. "I was totally drawn to her from the beginning:big hair, make-up, self-assuredness." Her dream job would be to host her own "trendsetting" show, "an MTV meets "Talk Soup" type of thing." "It should be edgy," she explains. Something more in line with her generation's zeitgeist. And most definitely with musical guests. A junior of sorts (her mother too is named Rollie), the Outlaws the name speaks for itself are a proud family of individualists. Each Christmas, when the rowdy clan gathers on Chicago's Southside, it's Rollie's job to present the patriarch of the family's gifts to his children and grandchildren. Many moons ago, they saw Rollie's "star quality" and gave her her first gig. Our young Outlaw has been hamming it up ever since. Secure that she will always have her Christmas gig back home, Rollie now plans on venturing into different ways to connect with audiences. "I've always liked public speaking and just feel comfortable doing it," Rollie shrugs. "Even if it's not in front of a large audience, I just love connecting with people."for more info E-mail..Rollie@MelodicSyndrome.com
